I recently had the opportunity to go on an epic voyage during which I visited all of Colombia's 33 departments in just two months! I chose one emblematic destination in each department, and spent a day or two walking or taking boat rides with interesting local people working in tourism. As we ambled or drifted along, I recorded our conversations about the local region, their experiences working with tourism, and the opportunities it represents, as well as my own thoughts and observations. I then worked with a talented editorial and production team to create a podcast episode for each region that, in English, is a travelogue of my conversations and observations in some of the world's most spectacular destinations, and in Spanish is a register of my thoughts, plus the voices of a multitude of peoples and cultures and the sounds of their local environments.
